Accessibility Statement

Movement Liberation strives to cultivate an inclusive culture where community, staff, and participants are encouraged to bring their full selves. Conscious dance is more accessible than dance classes with prescriptive choreography because each dancer can modulate/modify the movement to accommodate their access needs and capacity. We encourage people to honor their limits, rest as needed, and come exactly as they are. Several people have been in class with disabilities and/or chronic illness and the teaching team found ways to broaden the offerings to work for every body/mind in the room. In alignment with the principles of Disability Justice, ML also prioritizes financial accessibility recognizing BIPOC communities don’t always have access to disposable income to afford this type of healing modality.
